SERVPRO of Danbury/Ridgefield is pleased to announce a new acqusition to our equipment stock. The Hygenia ATP tester is utilized to determine contamination and utilized for post-cleaning verfification. This unit will provide a verification that affected materials have been restored to pre-loss condition. The situations where this piece of equipment will be utilized are:

Initial water loss evaluations

· Investigative testing of building and contents

· Determination of water loss category (1-3)

· Flood situations

· Mold contamination

· HVAC cleaning verification

· Trauma/crime scene bio-testing

· Carpet cleaning verification

· Post-remediation verification

· Equipment decontamination verification

When ATP comes into contact with the unique liquid stable luciferase/luciferin reagent in the Ultrasnap testing swab, light is emitted in direct proportion to the amount of ATP present. The higher the reading the more contamination present.

ATP meter hygiene monitoring provides accurate and traceable verification of the hygienic status of a surface, which is a key component of a good hygiene program. After cleaning, all sources of ATP should be significantly reduced.
